New Art in Austin: 20 to Watch

AMOA created an interactive website in conjunction with their triennial exhibition, New Art in Austin: 20 to Watch, which is on view from February 16 – May 11, 2008. New Art in Austin features emerging artists from central Texas whose work stretches the boundaries of contemporary art. This triennial survey was initiated in 2002 and attracted attention within the state and beyond. The content of the Pachyderm module focuses on videos of each artist working in their studio environment and discussing their processes and inspirations. It lifts the veil of mystery that typically shrouds contemporary art and demonstrates how art making is a part of many young artists everyday lives.
